Yalda night is an Iranian solstice festival, in the Northern Hemisphere's winter, celebrated on the longest and darkest night of the year. This project was handed to Debbie to take full creative control and responsibility from concept and brand identity to final product, which included creating a Sting, video wall, a wipe transition and name strap. These, as well as the design process, can be seen below.
The idea of the project was to show how Iranians celebrate their evening on Yalda night such as telling stories and eating dried fruits; watermelons and pomegranates in particular. All the illustrations were hand drawn and software such as Illustrator, Photoshop and Aftereffects were used to create the graphics.
